What is Tyranny of Heaven in Destiny 2?
Tyranny of Heaven is a legendary energy combat bow. It deals solar damage and uses primary ammo. It was released during the Season of the Outlaw (season 4, year 2) at the very beginning of the Forsaken expansion's lifecycle. It's closely related to the main feature of the season, the Last Wish raid, and you'll learn more about the connection between the raid and the bow below.
What makes this bow so good?
If you get the right perks for it, it might even be better than Arsenic Bite thanks to Warmind cells, Explosive payload, or Dragonfly. But let's not get ahead of ourselves and deal with one perk at a time.
The Lightweight Frame is an intrinsic legendary bonus that decreases the time of drawing and improves your movement speed. The Flexible String has lots of things going on for it: you get +10 handling, -40 drawing time (i.e. you shoot faster), but the tradeoff is losing some accuracy (-5) and gaining charge time (+10). Straight Fletching makes up for your accuracy losses with the previous one (+10). Sneak Bow widens your inventory (+15 to the size). And finally, to brighten it all up, you've got a Dragonfly that triggers an explosion after each precision kill (explosion deals elemental damage).
As you have guessed that was the curated roll but you don't have to have either it or nothing. No, this bow is quite cool with other perks too, so don't worry too much if you don't get the curated one. For example, Moving Target (instead of Sneak Bow) helps you shoot better while moving which is great for PvP. Archer's Tempo is also a great substitute for the Sneak Bow as it makes drawing faster after each precision hit. There are so many great combinations and almost any will make your guardian stronger to a significant degree.
How do I get this weapon in Destiny 2?
There's only way to obtain Tyranny of Heaven and it lies through suffering... That is, through grinding bosses of the Last Wish raid. Naturally, it's nowhere as hard to get as A Thousand Voices since it has a chance of dropping from any boss, but it will still take you lots of time and luck to get it. If you have lots of luck, of course, you might get a roll early during one of your several first raid clears. But if you want to make sure that you'll get it and you'll get it with the right perks, there's no better way to obtain this bow than hiring a pro team to make as many successful raid runs for you as it takes!
