What is Nations of Beasts in Destiny 2?

Nations of Beasts is a legendary energy hand cannon. It deals arc damage and uses primary ammo. It was first introduced back in Season 4 (Season of the Outlaw) which was a part of Year 2 and the Forsaken expansion. It is closely related to the main feature of that season, the Last Wish raid, and you will surely have to visit it more than once to acquire this great shooter.

What makes it stand out?

As it usually the case with Destiny 2's weapons, it's perks that make a weapon special. The curated perks for it are: Full Bore, Light Mag, Outlaw, and Dragonfly. Full Bore greatly increases your range (+15) but decreases stability (-10) and handling (-5). Light Mag adds even more range (+5) as well as some reload speed (+10). Outlaw is great for reducing your reloading time: each precision kill makes it faster. Dragonfly adds up on that by making each precision kill of yours cause an explosion (elemental damage).

There are other perks that are also deemed very fitting for this hand cannon, namely Extended Barrel, Tactical Mag, Extended Mag, Rampage, and Killclip. Naturally, you can't have them all at once so expect just a coupe of them to be features in your roll.

How do you get it?

It's quite straightforward: just visit the Last Wish raid and fight its bosses. There's a chance to get this legendary weapon from any of the bosses so make sure to clear the raid completely. However, the curated roll can only be received from one boss and that's Morgeth the Spirekeeper. It's the third boss of the four. Don't expect the Nation of Beasts to be a frequent drop, of course. It might not be exotic but it's quite powerful nonetheless and sought-after, too, so it's just destined to be rare.
