How do I obtain it?

Luckily, obtaining the catalyst for Necrochasm is very similar to obtaining the exotic itself. If you don't remember how you do it, here's a reminder: you just need to run the raid multiple times, defeat its bosses, and complete triumphs. Doing that will yield you Essences of Oversoul which are essential for unlocking the Necrochasm catalyst and the weapon itself. Note, however, that the drop of those essences is unfortunately random so killing a boss doesn't guarantee anything. The drop rate is not too low, though, so you can expect 1-2 essences within a single run. Triumphs, on the other hand, have guaranteed essences as rewards so you can aim at getting those too. So it's 55 essences of oversoul total which is not too few, unfortunately. The worst thing about unlocking the catalyst is that you'll have likely collected all the easy essences by achieving most triumphs in the raid by that moment. Hence, you'll have to rely only on boss kills and that means that luck becomes the paramount factor for getting access to the catalyst.
