What is BrayTech Osprey in Destiny 2?

BrayTech Osprey is a legendary power rocket-launcher. It shoots heavy (purple) ammo to inflict Void damage. It was added in Season 3 (aka Warmind) during Year 1 of Destiny 2. So it's safe to say that it's one of the OG guns of the game. However, its story is not without its sad moments: in Season 12 this rocket launcher was removed from the game for some reason (the sweet euphemism for that is "sunset"). Yet again it got rereleased in Season 21 (of the Deep) during the Lightfall era. What a drama, huh? Anyway, it's a good thing that it's back and even better than before. What makes this weapon stand out?

The redesign of the weapon made it so much better in lots of regards. Granted, it might not be the best weapon in the game and it might have not as many perks as you would like but it's still worth your effort, and having it in your collection will make you more versatile for sure. The curated roll includes these 3 perks: Linear Compensator, High-Velocity Rounds, and Cluster Bomb. Liner Compensator makes your weapons stats better in 3 ways: +5 stability, +5 velocity, and +5 blast round.  It's a well-balanced little improvement that makes you noticeably stronger. High-Velocity Rounds improve your velocity (+10) and reload speed (+10) with this legendary. And Cluster Bomb goes even further by spawning the so-called cluster bombs (8 of them) with your explosions. That is, the explosions that your missiles make create a bunch of bombs that deal even more damage on top of that already made by your rocket launcher.

Yeah, so it's like that. It might look like this weapon lacks perks and indeed the choice we have for rolls combo is far less impressive than that of most modern weapons but just look at those perks above! They only make you better without any tradeoffs! And there are more options for rolls, for example, the Quick Launch perk that you can get instead of Linear Compensator: it significantly improves your velocity (+10) and handling (+15). And there are even more traits to look forward to getting on your weapon!

How do I get it?

If you want to get BrayTech Osprey, you gotta head to the Nightfall strike called "Strange Terrain". You can get it there as a reward for beating the strike. But of course, it's not guaranteed so God only knows how many attempts you'll have to make to finally lay your head on it. With our pros, however, you don't have to count your attempts – if you want us to get it for you, we will get it for you regardless of how many runs it will take. If it's 10, we'll make 10 runs.
