What is Loaded Question in Destiny 2?

Loaded Question is a legendary energy fusion-rifle. It deals Arc damage and shoots special (green) ammo. It has a pretty peculiar history: it was first introduced long ago during Season 5 also known as Season of the Forge. Those were the good old days of the Forsaken expansion which was Year 2 for the game. At some point, Bungie decided to destroy this weapon and sunset it. It was a sad moment, of course, since why the hell do you have to keep removing things from the game, Bungie? Anyway, they finally saw reason and made the right decision to put this legendary back into the game which they did in Season 21 (of the Deep) which was a part of the Lightfall expansion. Needless to say, we love it when great guns come back!

How is it good?

As any legendary, Loaded Question shines with its perks. The curated roll suggests lining them up like this: Corkscrew Rifling, Ionized Battery, Auto-Loading Holster, and Reservoir Burst. Corkscrew Rifling is a balanced perk that improves 3 stats at once: stability, range, handling – they all get +5 with it. Ionized Battery decreases reloading speed (-19) and extends your magazine (+2 slots). Auto-Loading Holster reloads the weapon without your involvement after some time. And Reservoir Burst increases your magazine's capacity by 1 and gives you a special effect for your first shot right after reloading (or just whenever you have your magazine full). Your shot deals more damage and makes an enemy explode upon being defeated.

The curated roll is usually (always?) misleading. Although it shows you a great combo of perks, it might make you think that there's no better one – but it's not true at all. Say, Arrowhead Break is another great option that can replace Corkscrew Rifling like no problem. The same is true about Frenzy that can be a solid alternative to Reservoir Burst and so on.

There are also a couple of perks present on all rolls and they are Stunning Recovery and Vanguard's Vindication. The former gives you a special buff whenever you stun a hostile champion: you instantly refill your magazine (partly, not fully), get health regeneration and improved recovery for several seconds. The latter heals you whenever you deal a final blow with Loaded Question. They are nice touches to this overall great fusion rifle, no doubt about that!

How do I get it?

You gotta participate in Nightfall strikes to have a chance to get it. Score 100k points or more to be eligible for this reward – it's not guaranteed though. You might get some other (decent) reward or you might not get much at all – that's RNG, sorry. Nightfall is its only source right now and we'd recommend doing it in the Master or Grandmaster difficulties to raise your chances. That's how our pros do it and that's why it's so easy for them to get The Loaded Question for you! So if you don't want to spend days and weeks grinding strikes, just leave that to our crew.

This weapon used to be obtainable in another way before sunsetting. You had an exotic quest from Zavala that led you to getting it. Unfortunately, those days are gone and what was a challenging and time-consuming quest that DIDN'T INVOLVE RNG is now but a distant memory. For some reason, Bungie thinks that grinding strikes is more fun than doing well-crafted quest lines. Well, you never know what makes them change things the way they do.
