What is Ghosts of the Deep?

Ghosts of the Deep is a Destiny 2 dungeon that was added in Season 21 also known as Season of the Deep. The names seem to stick to this "deep" theme, don't they? That's because both the season and the dungeon are related to Titan, a moon of Saturn with most of its surface underwater. So you have to go deep underwater to find anything of interest there and you have to go deeper still during the dungeon run. To be honest, it's not going to be such a deep dive since most of the dungeon takes place in some woods and caves so don't worry about having to swim too much – although some swimming is still present (especially during the final encounter and shortly before that). The dungeon is quite fun and has both some thrilling action and great rewards to collect so make sure to have a couple of runs to it (or more!). What rewards can I get in this dungeon?

The most prominent reward in Ghosts of the Deep is the exotic trace rifle Navigator. You can only get it after beating the final encounter and the chance to get it is quite low. You can increase it by completing certain dungeon-related achievements but it won't make much difference since it will still remain rather rare.

Other drops of interest include several legendary weapons. Here's the full list:

• Cold Comfort – rocket launcher
• Greasy Luck – glaive
• New Pacific Epitaph – grenade launcher
• No Survivors – submachine gun

All of them can be obtained as a reward for each boss in the dungeon. They won't drop too often though, so don't expect to collect the full arsenal soon. However, our team might be of help here and your chances of getting those guns faster can improve significantly.

Who are the bosses in this dungeon?

This half-underwater dungeon is themed around the fall of Oryx, the Taken King. There are lots of his allies and minions here so it's not surprising that the bosses are related to him too. The bosses are:

• Ecthar, the Shield of Savathun (formerly known as Sword of Oryx)
• Vorlog, Risen in Heresy
• Simmumah ur-Nokru, Lucent Necromancer

All 3 of them are involved in an attempt to resurrect Oryx with the help of Light but, as you might have already guessed, something goes not to plan. The reason for that is guardians, of course, so prepare for another story-changing mission. Yay!
