🗺️ Which WoW Forever leveling zones should you pick next?
Start in your race’s opening zone. Around level 12, choose the Alliance or Horde hub nearest a flight path you’ve learned. Use the level bands as route suggestions and check what quests you can take when you arrive.
Forever adds new quests across Azeroth, including familiar zones. There’s no level scaling. When enemies are too tough, drop back a hub. These routes use published Forever data. Live travel times and individual quest unlocks still need testing. Blizzard’s leveling design Early quest and flight master data · Faction route reference

🌱 How should you spend levels 1-12?
Pick one town and work out from it. Take quests that send you in the same direction, clear those objectives together, then return for turn-ins. Before you leave, repair your gear, clear bag space and learn any flight path at the hub. Choose a nearby inn for your Hearthstone if you’ll return often.
- Alliance. A Human can work from Goldshire before heading to Sentinel Hill. A Dwarf or Gnome can work out of Kharanos and head toward Thelsamar. A Night Elf can start around Dolanaar and continue to Auberdine.
- Horde. Orcs and Trolls can use Razor Hill, and Tauren can start from Bloodhoof Village before heading into the Barrens. Forsaken can move from Brill toward the Sepulcher in Silverpine.
Where do Skyborne characters go after Zephras Isle?
Both Skyborne factions start on Zephras Isle at level 1. That includes an Alliance Skyborne Mage and a Horde Skyborne Shaman. Blizzard designed the starting zone for levels 1-12. Your faction decides which ship to take from Valanaar. Blizzard’s Skyborne guide
- High Order Skyborne. Take the ship to Dalaran and use the Skyborne portal to Stormwind. Try Sentinel Hill in Westfall next. If the Westfall quests are rough, check Goldshire for unfinished quests.
- Windshaper Skyborne. Take the ship to Skywatcher Plateau. From there, plan for the Crossroads in the Barrens. If the next chain is too hard, look for a suitable quest around Bloodhoof Village in Mulgore. Method’s Forever travel routes
⚔️ When should you swap quests for dungeon leveling?
Run a dungeon when your group is ready and everyone fits the level range. Check the quests and entry requirements before you travel. Some dungeons require a quest chain to enter. Keep questing near your current hub while friends log in.
Your situation | Best next move |
Your Alliance group is around Ironforge at 13-18 | Try Hall of Thanes. The entrance is beneath Ironforge. |
Your Horde group is near Undercity at 15-20 | Try Ruins of Lordaeron. The entrance is in the ruins above Undercity. |
You’re in Wetlands at 24-29 | Check Excavation Site near Whelgar’s Excavation. |
Your group wants City of Dalaran at 28-33 | Start the attunement chain before setting out. Alliance starts with An Alarming Request in Southshore. Horde starts with Key to the City and Prison Break-In in Tarren Mill. |
Your group is around Stranglethorn Vale at 35-40 | Try The Drowned City off the coast. Check the approach before you leave town. |
You’re questing in the Riverglades at 40-45 | Check whether your party is ready for Krol’dok Stronghold before you leave the area. |
You’re near Dustwallow Marsh at 48-53 | Try Alcaz Prison on Alcaz Island. |
Your group needs a late-level dungeon | Try Blackmaw Hold in Azshara at 55-60, or Shaper’s Terrace in Un’Goro at 58-60. Pick the one you’re closer to. |
You’re solo or missing a group member | Finish a local quest cluster while the group comes together. Check who has the dungeon quests before anyone makes the trip. |
Use the run to finish quests or pick up gear you need. Once you finish those objectives, compare another run with the quests you already have nearby. Blizzard’s dungeon levels and access notes
Bringing a much higher-level friend? Blizzard’s beta notes say a big enough gap can leave the party with zero experience points (XP) from kills. Check your XP on the live build before repeating the run. Blizzard’s beta development notes
No group for Krol'dok Stronghold? 🏰
Group search eating your Riverglades session? Our Krol'dok Stronghold Dungeon Boost clears the dungeon with an experienced team, completes some dungeon quests on the way, and you keep the XP, boss loot and resources. It needs a level 40+ character, and selfplay keeps your account in your hands.
📜 What do you do when your quest log dries up?
Stay close until you know what’s blocking you. Check whether you missed a turn-in, jumped to the next zone too early, or already finished the local chains. Then make one move.
- A quest giver has nothing for you. Check your log for a lead-in or an unfinished turn-in. Finish it before making a second trip to the same town.
- Enemies take too long to kill. Drop back to the last hub with usable quests. An Alliance character struggling in Redridge can finish a Loch Modan chain. A Horde character stuck in Stonetalon can go back to the southern Barrens.
- Your log is full. Turn in completed quests first. Keep dungeon quests for the run you’ve agreed to do. Check how to reacquire a chain before abandoning it.
- You’ve outgrown the hub. Take the closest backup you can reach from a known flight path. If you’re already in Tanaris, check Gadgetzan before crossing the map for a new zone.
Got one evening to play? Pick a hub, finish one quest loop, and learn its flight path. You’ll have a clear place to start next time.
Have the gold ready for riding at 40 💰
Riding training is the biggest bill on the road to 60. Our WoW Forever Gold delivers the amount you choose, without account sharing, so you can train the moment you ding 40 and keep your questing time for quests.
🏆 Which milestones make the next leg easier?
Check Legacy at 25, save for riding at 40, and pick your first endgame goal at 60. Save the long trips for upgrades or group runs you can use right away.
- Level 25. Most players earn their first Legacy Point when their first character reaches 25. For shorter play sessions, look at Well Rested. It raises the rested experience cap and makes rested XP build faster. You can benefit from Legacy on one character. Blizzard’s Legacy System guide
- Level 40. Set aside gold for riding training before you plan your first ground mount. Check your own trainer or class route. A pack mount still requires the relevant riding skill. Method’s riding guide · Blizzard’s mount requirement
- Level 60. Pick a dungeon for gear or start your raid prerequisites. Mount Hyjal is home to Barrow Deeps and Hyjal Summit. Those raids and Onyxia’s Lair are scheduled for December 9, 2026. Check your faction’s Onyxia attunement before raid night. Blizzard’s raid and attunement overview
Take a break at a campfire. WoW Forever’s Camping system lets players share perks from crafted camp features. A Leatherworker’s Camp Tent can top up rested XP to 5% of a level. Keep moving if you’re already above that mark. Blizzard’s Camping guide
