Lucent Citadel armor sets – What are they like?
Lucent Citadel is the apex PvE activity of the Gold Road chapter. The raid is rather challenging but the loot it has makes spending your time on it worthwhile. The total number of sets is 4, just as usual. Here's what they are called:
- Lucent Echoes (heavy)
- Silvers of the Null Arca (medium)
- Mora Scribe's Thesis (light DPS)
- Xoryn's Masterpiece (light support)
In this blog post we'll take a closer look at each of the 4 and see who can benefit from them.
Heavy set: Lucent Echoes

The Lucent Echoes set is impressively beneficial for the whole team, not just the person wearing it. The 50% HP switch is an interesting detail: when your health stays above the half, you increase your teammates' critical damage & critical healing. That motivates them in their turn to keep your health high. And when your HP goes below the half, you personally get more resilience by lowering all the incoming damage from PvE monsters. The set is absolutely great for tanks in all kinds of PvE content but in PvP... We'd say it doesn't really shine there. So if it's your cup of tea, consider other sets over this one.

Medium set: Silvers of the Null Arca

This medium-weight set offers you lots of extra critical chance and damage. It also has the buff "Silver" with a unique feature of hurling a projectile full of pain towards your last target. It's a decent set that you'll definitely enjoy using but currently it might not be the most powerful pick for your PvE goals – say, Pillar of Nirn is a stronger single-target set right now. On the other hand, it has everything you need to be a grave threat to your opponents in Cyrodiil and all other kinds of PvP activities.
Light DPS set: Mora Scribe's Thesis

This set is great if you know how to stack lots of buffs: Minor Slayer, Major Aegis, and others like that. Both major and minor buffs work but give you different useful effects. Each active major buff gives you a critical chance increase while each active minor buff raises your critical damage. As you can understand, this effect is particularly useful in trials as it's highly likely that you'll get more buffs than usual in a large group. If you manage to stack a big number of them, you'll become a genuine destroyer with how much damage you can deliver. So it's perfect for trials but might not be that gloriously good in other PvE mods and PvP in general.

Light Support set: Xoryn's Masterpiece

This set might be particularly beneficial for teams heavily relying on Magicka. Not only does this set increase your own Maximum Magicka and speeds up its recovery, but also it raises the maximum capacity of Magicka (and Stamina too!) for up to 11 teammates. So if your team has many Magicka-focused champions, this set will be a perfect fit for you. In other cases it might not be your priority pick.
