What skills does this guild have?

In total the Fighters Guild offers 10 skills some of which have several ranks. If you break those skills down by type, you'll get this:

  • Passive skills – 5
  • Active skills – 4
  • Ultimate skill – 1
And they are not just some good-to-have-but-not-necessary kind of skills. Some of them are powerful enough to have been present in most top builds for many years. See what those skills are in the table below:

So if you want to make your character's skillset optimal, you shouldn't ignore this skill line, no matter what build you prefer.

How much reputation is required to level it up?

You need to accumulate 6'960 Reputation total to reach the maximum level (the 10th one). Here's a table that breaks down each level in terms of required reputation:

So each level requires 160 more reputation points than the previous one up until level 7. Starting with it each level requires 240 more reputation points than the one before it.

How to level up the Fighters Guild in ESO?

There are 3 main sources of reputation for the Fighters Guild:

SOURCEREPUTATION GAIN
Completing a Dark Anchor10
Completing a Daily Quest10
Defeating an enemy of a particular type1
Okay, now let's take a closer look at each.

Completing a Dark Anchor

Dark Anchors (also known as dolmens) are brief instances that teem with monsters of all types. Most base-game zones have 3 such dolmens and you can complete them repeatedly. Overall, doing dolmens is the most effective way to level up the guild.

And the best zone to do that is deemed to be the Alik'r Desert since it has its 3 dolmens very close to each other. That makes grinding easier and faster. Don't let the fact that you only get 10 reputation for completing each Dark Anchor deceive you: in fact you'll get about 50 of it for each dolmen completed. The extra reputation comes from the enemies.

Completing a Daily Quest

The Fighters Guild's daily quests (officially called Bounty Quests) are given by Cadea Gallus in the central branch of the guild in each alliance's capital. The quests usually request you to complete 3 Dark Anchors in some zone.

The reward you get for completing a quest like that is a Fighters Guild Merits container. Inside you can find Draugr style motifs, related style materials, and various consumables, including potions and food. And of course, you get reputation for completing each quest (10 rep.).

While it might be an okay source of reputation and it won't hurt to do those quests if you want to explore the world, it's considered best to just stick to Alik'r Desert dolmens farm without paying much attention to dailies.

The only real use for them is believed to be leveling up the Fighters Guild reputation for your companions. They can't get that rep. in other ways, except for event items (but that's not a reliable source).  So if you want your companions to have a high level of this guild's reputation, spend some time on these quests.

Defeating an Enemy of a Particular Type

Certain types of monsters yield 1 reputation with the Fighters Guild for each monster defeated. These types are:

  • Undead
  • Daedra
  • Vampire
  • Werewolf
While 1 reputation point doesn't sound like a lot, the idea is to find a place where lots of monsters of this type roam. Dark Anchors conveniently have lots of such creatures, so that will make your dolmen grinding even more rewarding.

If you're tired of dolmens, you can try grinding other areas having lots of enemies of these types. One popular destination for this kind of grind is Skyreach Catacombs, a public dungeon in Upper Craglorn. It has hordes of the Undead and it's easy to farm reputation there even without Dark Anchors.
