Dune Awakening is a game known for its sophisticated economy – and what drives that economy is the universal currency: Solari. While the most knowledgeable Arrakis economists are busy with all kinds of theoretical issues, the question most regular players are struggling with is: How to get Solari fast in Dune Awakening?
This blog post is here to answer that question in an accessible way. You'll learn more about the currency itself, what you can buy with it, and how you can earn it quickly. So let's begin by putting a single shiny credit in the palm of your hand to take a closer look at what exactly so many players are chasing.
🔆 What is Solari?
Solari is the primary currency in Dune Awakening. You use it to buy just about anything – from basic resources to the most valuable blueprints. It's also the only accepted currency at the Exchange: players buy and sell items there with Solari... or is it Solaris?
Let's clarify the word usage so we're on the same page. Despite how some players say "Solaris", it's actually the same for both singular and plural: one Solari, two Solari, a lot of Solari – and that last one is how many you should have! Survival on Arrakis is very resource-intensive, which means it's not unusual to constantly run short on something. Refilling your supplies takes Solari, and the bigger your operations – the base, the garage, spice harvesting – the more of it you'll need to spend to maintain them or to keep up with the competition.
Speaking of which, let's take a peek at how the wealthiest tycoons of Arrakis spend their millions – and the kinds of strategic investments that only that many Solari can buy.

💰 What can you buy with them?
As we've mentioned earlier, you can buy virtually everything in the game with Solari. But what about strategic investments – which ones are particularly important and expensive? Let's take a look at a few.
Vehicles 🚁
It's hard to overstate how important vehicles are in Dune Awakening – but they are very pricey. You either crawl like a worm (and get eaten by a bigger worm) or move around using some engineering marvel. It can be something less impressive like a bike (about 20,000 Solari) or a buggy (35,000) – or a truly powerful machine like the community-beloved ornithopter (125,000).
The prices above are from the faction stores, but they won't be much different if you decide to craft a vehicle yourself. You'll just end up spending that Solari not on a direct purchase, but on the required resources – or gizmos that help you gather them.
High-Tier Gear 🛡
You might want to craft it yourself or get a pre-made item from the Exchange – however you go about it, endgame equipment will cost you tons of Solari. Crafting it requires an expensive schematic as well as the necessary materials – you're either going to buy it all from vendors or other players. MK5 schematics, for example, are usually sold for up to 15,000 Solari apiece. Doesn't sound so bad? Add expenses for materials and production – and you'll multiply that amount by two or three.
Buying it is much easier, since you have to just, well, buy it – but don't expect it to be more budget-friendly. No way! Paying 40-60 thousand Solari for a single item is standard for MK5 gear.
Top-quality gear is necessary for your character to successfully survive fights with powerful enemies, especially hostile players. That includes armor that helps you sustain damage and reposition faster, as well as weapons that help you fight back efficiently. So if you want to stay alive among the dunes, you'll have to find a way to get all those shiny credits.
High-tier gear needs a high level character ☝️

Faction Rewards 🏛
As you improve your reputation with the House you prefer, you gain access to more exclusive items – and the further you go, the more expensive they become. The good news is that, unlike vehicles and gears, these items aren't exactly crucial for your survival. But the temptation to buy them is insufferable – you've come so far, earned so much fame, and now you won't show it off? Preposterous!
So what makes faction rewards skippable? They're mostly cosmetic, as they include various types of skins: base decorations, vehicle visuals, fancy outfits, and so on. The classiest of them – those unlocked at Faction Fame Level 5 – cost up to 335,000 Solari. If you care about your prestige, not just staying alive, it won't be easy to resist spending some of your hard-earned Solari on these attractive vanity items.
⛏ How can you earn Solari fast?
By now, you should have a pretty solid idea of what you can buy – but what are the best ways to get Solari? Let's take a look at several methods endorsed by the community and pro players.
Farm Routes 🧭
The idea is simple: find a route that connects various reward-rich points on the map and run it as many times as you can. Those points should include Testing Stations, Intel Camps, wrecks, and other locations with hostiles and lootable chests.
Speaking of chests, they're your priority during these runs, as they're the primary source of Solari and valuable items you can sell for even more. On average, a regular chest contains up to 600 credits, while better ones can hold several thousand.
A well-designed route can yield tens of thousands of Solari per hour. Most of them are solo-friendly and you don't need to rely on anyone else to farm efficiently. The downside is that it can become rather repetitive at some point, as you're essentially running in circles. And during peak hours, you'll likely have competition, which can make your runs less lucrative.
Contracts never leave you wondering what your next step should be: they set clear goals and give you enough details to complete them fast. It might feel disappointing, however, to figure out that they don't reward Solari directly.... But wait, why are we even mentioning them here? Because you can get lots of Solari by completing them – you just need to know how.
House Contracts reward you with Contribution Points (CP). Depending on how many CP you earn throughout the week, you get access to a specific reward tier. The higher the tier, the better the contents of the chest. Chests can contain Solari – in fact, lots of them: up to 10,000 in a Tier 1 chest, which requires 700 CP. How many contracts is that? A single mid-level contract gives you 100 to 200 CPs, so it only takes 3 to 7 missions total. That means you can complete just one per day during a single week and still earn your chest.
But we said the chest "can" contain Solari – what if it doesn't? It'll still have something valuable inside – something you can either sell at a good price or use yourself.
Another type of repeatable contracts that you shouldn't miss is Landsraad Contracts. You can take up to five of them daily, and they also yield 100-200 CP each – and those points count toward the weekly reward tier. So make sure to complete these too.
Deep Desert Farming 🏜
If you want more action, welcome to the toughest part of the game's world. The Deep Desert is notoriously hostile: it features overpowered aggressive NPCs and PvP that's always on. But that risk pays off: players report earning up to 60,000 Solari per run – yet only the strongest survive to tell the tale.
Make sure to come prepared. Farming the Deep Desert on your own is borderline suicidal, so it's better to go in a group. That might reduce everyone's personal profit, but it definitely increases the chances of making it back in one piece – and actually earning something. Remember, you drop all that you're carrying when you die – so if someone has your back, it's much easier to avoid that fate. If you go alone, each death is a massive loss.
It's also important to note that you won't be picking up Solari off the ground there. Instead, look for chests and rare materials. Bring all that loot to the Exchange and sell it for a bagfull of Solari.
