What is the Vault of Glass raid in Destiny 2?

Vault of Glass is a raid in Destiny 2 that was added to the game as the main feature of Season 14 (of the Splicer) back in the days of the Beyond Light expansion (Year 4). It's a raid with lots of history since it had already been a significant part of the story and the game before that. In fact, it was one of the hardest PvE challenges of the original Destiny and what we got in Destiny 2 is a revamp of that original raid. Naturally, it's not completely the same: it has a different story, changed environment, and bosses. But so many things about it are reminiscent of its previous appearance in the Destiny franchise including the exotic gun that you can obtain there – Vex Mythoclast. Yeah, quite literally both games have a gun with the same name that drops in the raid with the same name. The gun itself has changed in the second part but you got the idea. Vault of Glass is all about good old stuff but presented and used differently. Another point of its importance is the fact that it was the first raid with a master difficulty in the series which now is a regular feature of every new raid.

What bosses are there in this raid?

There are 5 principal boss encounters in the Vault of Glass raid and they are:

1. Conflux
2. Oracle
3. Templar
4. Gatekeeper
5. Atheon, Time's Conflux

Like most other D2 raids, VOG is linear and you have little choice of what order to deal with the bosses in.

What weapons can I get in Vault of Glass?

There are 7 weapons total that you can get in this raid and 6 of them (all the legendary ones) can be obtained in 2 variations: regular and timelost. Timelost is a special adept power-up that adds unique perks to the weapon. We won't go into much detail about how exactly each of VOG legendaries is enhanced with it but just trust us that it makes those weapons much, much cooler. And obviously, the RNG for timelost weapons is crazy so don't expect to get them anytime soon (without the help of our determined pros, that is!). Anyway, here's the weapon list:

1. Corrective Measure (legendary void machine gun)
2. Fatebringer (legendary kinetic hand cannon)
3. Found Verdict (legendary arc shotgun)
4. Hezen Vengeance (legendary solar rocket launcher)
5. Praedyth's Revenge (legendary kinetic rocket launcher)
6. Vex Mythoclast (exotic solar fusion rifle)
7. Vision of Confluence (legendary solar scout rifle)

While in some raids you have a chance to get any legendary weapon from the loot table after defeating every boss of it, in Vault of Glass each weapon has a particular boss that it's assigned to and you can only get it after defeating that particular boss. To be more precise, there are several such bosses that share these weapons. Here, take a look at this list to have a better idea:

1. Conflux boss: Corrective Measure, Found Verdict, Vision of Confluence
2. Oracle boss: Found Verdict, Vision of Confluence, Praedyth's Revenge
3. Templar boss: Corrective Measure, Fatebringer, Vision of Confluence
4. Gatekeeper boss: Fatebringer, Found Verdict, Hezen Vengeance
5. Atheon boss: Corrective Measure, Hezen Vengeance, Praedyth's Revenge, Vex Mythoclast

So after defeating the first boss, Conflux, you should expect any of the 3 weapons mentioned in the respective line and not any other. 

What armor can I get in Vault of Glass?

There are 3 sets that you can collect in Vault of Glass. Each of them is dedicated to a particular class:

• Armor of the Hezen Lords (warlock)
• Kabr's Armor (titan)
• Prime Zealot (hunter)

Each boss has 2 set pieces that it has in their table. It looks like this:

1. Conflux: gloves, class item
2. Oracle: gloves, legs
3. Templar: gloves, chest
4. Gatekeeper: helm, legs
5. Atheon: helm, chest

The chance of drop is, as usual, random so it's hard to predict whether you'll get any of these items soon.
