WHAT IS FINAL WARNING?
Final Warning is an exotic kinetic sidearm. It deals strand damage and uses primary ammo. It first appeared in Season 20 (Defiance). It serves as a reward for completing one of the most challenging and tedious quest lines of the season (find more info on that in the How to Unlock it? section).
WHAT MAKES IT STAND OUT?
Simply put, this sidearm has the ability to auto-track: that is, when you shoot it, its projectiles lock on a target and you are very unlikely to miss them. Unless the target plays some dirty trick, of course. Let's take a closer look at its unique perks.
One of them is All at Once. It lets you press the trigger for as long as it takes to fully charge your gun and when you release it, a bunch of bullets will be shot. The target will be auto-locked, so there will be little chance to miss – and when you hit the target, you'll do that with all the charged bullets at once. Hence the name!
Pick Your Poison is the second of the 2 exotic perks. It lets your bullet track the target (lock on it) when you shoot without aiming (it's called hip-firing). And if you aim, your shots get faster and do more damage.
Other recommended perks include Hammer-Forged Rifling (+10 range), Flared Magwell (+15 reload speed, +5 stability), and Combat Grip (+20 recoil). It's not exactly easy to get them all on one gun (you gotta be very lucky to have such a roll) but even several of them will make your Final Warning an overpowered monster of a weapon.
This sidearm's basic stats are quite good on their own actually. Stability is 61, aim assistance is 88, bounce intensity is 60, and so on. So even without the right roll, you will feel the real power of this beast and you will definitely not regret giving it a shot. HOW TO UNLOCK IT?
As we've already mentioned, there's a lengthy quest chain involved in the obtainment of this sidearm. To get started with unlocking the Final Warning, you gotta end the Lightfall campaign first (at least it's season 20's part). Unlocking strand upgrades is also essential. Since the exotic quest that we need is called "The Final Strand" you might get the idea that all the other strands must be unlocked at that point. Unlocking all that stuff is also quite long: you need Aspects, Grenades, and Fragments. There are lots of activities to collect Strand Meditations that help you unlock all those things. Don't treat it as just a dull prerequisite – in fact, those strands will be of great help to you, so don't be in a hurry to get them all right away. Take your time to learn to use them to your advantage as you gradually unlock them.
Okay, so let's say you've successfully collected all those strand upgrades. Now you can take the quest "The Final Strand" from the Pouka Pond. It's quite weird to converse with a body of water but it is what it is. From the Pond, you gotta get to Nimbus in the Hall of Heroes. After chatting with them head to the Veil Containment zone. There you'll have to defeat a squad of the Shadow Legion looters and study their documents containing their malicious plans and orders.
As you've finished fighting the waves of enemies, go to Ahimsa Park on Neomuna to the Typhon Imperator. Enter the ship, go straight to the bridge, and fight a mini-boss there. After it's done, go back to the Pouka Pond and commence the Osiris training program. You gotta finish it within 5.5 minutes. Although it's possible to complete it that fast yourself, we'd say that it takes a lot of skill and coordination to do that. So you should either consider a professional boost like this one or get a good team of decent guardians to help you out.
The successful completion of the time challenge lets you turn in the quest to the Pouka Pond and get the Final Warning, the very exotic sidearm you've been suffering for through all those adventures.
