If you're an enthusiast, you shouldn't really care much about that. However, every well-respected ESO veteran has to have this story about how they once became an Emperor, even if just for a day. And that's not just memories: it's also a unique costume, a very classy title, and lots of fun gameplay-wise. If you want to achieve this rank without doing too much PvP, you can always rely on us. How exactly do you earn the Emperor title?

To earn the Emperor rewards you should participate in the biggest PvP mode of the Elder Scrolls Online – the Alliance War. Any campaign will do, so just play the one you have a particular liking for. Your primary target is to establish control over all the 6 keeps at once. So get busy doing that with your teammates first. When it's done, it's time to check your team's rankings. The champion who has the most alliance points can be found at the top of it. Obviously, the top-1 champion is crowned as the Emperor and gets all the respective rewards. To get alliance points you just have to fight: whoever contributed most to defeating opponents in skirmishes, gets more points. So here are the main steps: capture all the 6 fortresses and collect more alliance point than any of your allies in the process.

Do you keep the Emperor costume forever?

Yes, your Emperor costume currently stays in your collection for as long as you want. It's not taken away even if you lose your Emperor status (that is, if you fall below the top-1 position in your alliance's rankings). It once used to be taken away but no longer. So our Emperor boost in ESO is your fastest way to get this amazing cosmetic armor in your champion's possession.

Do you keep the Emperor title forever?

Unfortunately, not. We wish it worked the way the costume does, but no such luck. Unlike the costume, you can't keep the title for as long as you want – it's taken away whenever you fall below the top-1 position in your team's rankings in the Alliance War campaign. We guess it's fair enough since it wouldn't make sense to have several emperors story-wise. But don't worry too much about that: you get the Former Emperor title instead which can prove anyone that you indeed have once reached that venerated position.

What skill perks do I get as the Emperor?

There are 5 unique abilities that you get as the Emperor and you can only use them as long as you remain one and as long as you stay in Cyrodiil. The abilities are: Domination, Authority, Monarch, Tactician, and Emperor. "Domination" increases your recovery of health, magicka, and stamina by 100% while in combat. "Authority" speeds up your generation of Ultimate by 100%. "Monarch" makes all the incoming healing 50% more effective. "Tactician" raises your Siege Weapons damage inflicted on fortifications by 100%. And "Emperor" just plainly makes your health, magicka, and stamina 75% bigger. So with all those bonuses it becomes a little bit easier to secure your number 1 spot – but don't get too relaxed! 

Which platforms can I have the Emperor boost done on?

You can have the Emperor boost done on any major platform: PC, Playstation (both 4 and 5), and Xbox (One, Series S, and Series X).
