Altars of Lilith boost in Diablo 4

What are Altars of Lilith?

Altars of Lilith are statues that give you a permanent bonus when you interact with them. There's a limited number of such statues in the game world (160 total, to be precise). Some of them are in plain sight and some of them are well hidden. You're almost guaranteed to find all the former ones while playing through the story, while the latter ones will require more effort. Unless you're into exploring every corner of the map, you're not likely to find them all. And if you decide to use some community-made map to locate all the altars, you'll soon realize how much work it is. That's because to get to some of them, you'll have to travel to very distant and desolate places. The best and fastest way to deal with it is to delegate the process of altar finding to a pro who already knows how to arrange it best. Our professionals have completed this kind of task lots of times, so they can unlock all the altars blindfolded! That's a joke of course (but perhaps some of our guys can really pull it off), but the idea is that we'll do it much sooner than an average player, and if you don't want to waste your time, this boost is the right choice for you.

Why do I need them?

As we've already mentioned, altars hold some ancient power that permanently enhances your champion in a particular way. There are several such upgrades that you can get and here's the list of their types:

• +2 Dexterity
• +2 Intelligence
• +2 Strength
• +2 Willpower
• +5 Murmuring Obol capacity
• +1 Paragon point

Another bonus that you get alongside any of those is renown for the region in which you've found it. Altars are a source of a considerable amount of renown and you should really consider collecting as many of them as possible if you're interested in getting a high level of renown. 

How many altars can I find in each region?

The total of 160 altars is divided among all the regions of the game. Naturally, the number might change with time as new altars are added in upgrades but as of the initial public release of Diablo 4, the situation is as follows:

• Fractured Peaks – 28 altars
• Scosglen – 34 altars
• Dry Steppes – 33 altars
• Hawezar – 34 altars
• Kehjistan – 31 altars

There are plenty of ways to track your progress with them right inside the game. So you are likely to stay up to date with knowing where you stand in each region.

Are altars account-wide?

Yes. Yes, yes, yes! We can't express how happy we are with it, to be honest. Making altars character-specific would be too ungodly even for such a hell-inspired game as Diablo 4. So you can turn altars-collection into a team effort: all your characters can contribute.
