Can any character access the Aetherian Archive trial?

Aetherian Access is accessible by anyone who has an active ESO Plus subscription or who has bought the DLC "Clockwork City". We'd recommend the former as it unlocks way more content than the latter and might even cost less (depends on current prices and special offers).

What bosses will we face during an Aetherian Archive boost?

There are 4 main bosses for us to beat – and we'll make sure to destroy them all! The bosses are:

The Mage is a well-known baddie so if you have some knowledge of the lore of the game, you will likely find beating her quite satisfying.

What sets can I pick up in Aetherian Archive?

There are 3 armor sets exclusive to Aetherian Archive and 3 more armor sets that can be partly collected in other trials. Let's take a closer look at both categories.

So first the exclusive sets. Those are Defending Warrior (heavy armor), Quick Serpent (medium), and Healing Mage (light). The names of the sets give away what their main advantages are, obviously. So Defending Warrior is perfect for tanks as it adds lots of armor to your champion's stats, puts some max health increase on top of that, and enhances your Block ability (by making it deal damage and heal you at the same time). Quick Serpent is something that fast-paced DPS character would rely on: it gets you lots of additional max stamina, crit chance, and makes your abilities cost less stamina as well as help you restore it after finishing your enemies. Finally, Healing Mage is all about making support champions stronger as it offers more magicka recovery, maximum magicka, improved healing, and AOE spells enhancement (whenever you use them you make nearby opponents weaker). So much for the exclusive sets, let's take a look at the shared ones.

There are 3 of shared sets here too: Eternal Warrior (heavy), Vicious Serpent (medium), and Infallible Mage (light). All these sets can be obtained by running these trials: Aetherian Archive, Hel Ra Citadel, and Sanctum Ophidia. The Eternal Warrior set is good for tanking: it adds more incoming healing, gets you the Minor Aegis buff, increases your max health, and gets you a nice self-healing effect whenever you go below 25% of health. Vicious Serpent is great for stamina-relying damage dealers: it offers critical chance bonuses, the Minor Slayer buff, and more weapon- and spell damage. And the last but not the least, Infallible Mage will appeal to light-wearing DPS champions as it increases your crit chance, weapon / spell damage, gets you the Minor Slayer, and improves your Heavy attacks by raising their damage and making the enemies affected by them weaker.

What cosmetic rewards an I get in the Aetherian Archive trial?

There are 3 cosmetic rewards that you can earn in this trial. The easiest of them to get is the dye "Julianos White". You get it for defeating the Mage at either difficulty. Another dye that you can get is the Aurora Green – for it you need to complete a speed-run which includes beating the trial within 33 minutes. And finally, you can also get the "Mageslayer" title by defeating the Mage at the veteran difficulty.
