The best loot from Queen Ansurek – Nerubar Palace's last boss

Queen Ansurek is the first big boss of the War Within expansion. Not only is she the boss of the Nerub'ar Palace but also the queen of the whole Azj-Kahet! That means that there are lots of great items of value in her treasury! And that's true, the queen doesn't disappoint: we'll get a chance to loot plenty of powerful things!

In this blog post we want to draw your attention to 5 most outstanding of them, in our opinion. Our list features performance-boosting items like weapons and other gear, collectibles, and more stuff! Let's take a close look at each of them one by one!

1. An all-class Token

While it's nothing special, it's great to see the universal token (AKA omni-token) come back in The War Within's first raid. That gives us hope that it's a thing to stay with us for long.

If you haven't heard of omni-tokens before, here's what they are: every raid member can roll for it regardless of their class and spec. Whoever wins it, can change it for the token they need. Basically, it's a chance to get a set item without any randomness.

Omni-tokens usually come in the form of items titled "curio". They made the first appearance back in Dragonflight Season 2 when the newest raid was Aberrus. The last boss, Sarkareth, dropped a Void-Touched Curio. In the season after that, Fyrakk, the last boss of Amirdrassil, dropped a Flame-Wrapped Curio. The drop chance of the latter (about 70%) was noticeably highter than that of the former (about 10%). So we hope it's going to remain that high for this tier too.

2. A powerful Trinket

Calling the queen mad is rather rude but the questionable name shouldn't prevent you from getting this powerful trinket! It gives you a huge amount of critical strike stat passively. And it also has an active effect: you both hit the target and heal yourself. The lower is the target's HP, the more effective those 2 things are. And if you've successfully downed your target with the effect's damage, the cooldown becomes twice as short (1 min instead of 2).

3. A couple of flying mounts

Queen Ansurek has as many as 2 mounts in her loot table. They share the same model but differ in the color palette. Both belong to the mysterious and terrifying species of skyrazors. Whatever they are. Are they winged lizards with horns? Or are they some kind of monstrous bats out of hell? Who knows! Their biology doesn't matter much as long as they look cool and fly fast!

One of them can be obtained at any difficulty but the drop rate is expectedly very low. The flying mount in question is the Sureki Skyrazor. It's the one with blue flames around its horn and back. Its wings are purple-ish.

The other one, the Ascendant Skyrazor, is exclusive to the Mythic mode. Each kill of the Queen at the hardest difficulty yields your team not 2. but 3 Ascendant Skyrazors. That means that if your guild is cool enough to do the Mythic Palace, you'll furnish all your raiders with this vanity mount much sooner than before. This classy flyer is white and its horn and back have touches of the scarlet color.

4. A desirable Enchanting Formula

It's always great when the last boss of the raid has a recipe teaching you to craft something truly outstanding. This time it's enchanters that should rejoice as it's their turn to look for a formula among the ultimate encounter's loot.

Authority of the Depths sometimes triggers the Suffocating Darkness effect that applies a damage-over-time debuff on your target. The debuff deals shadow damage and can stack up to 3 times.

5. A mighty axe

This is a powerful strength-focused one-handed axe. An obvious choice for tanks: protection paladins, protection warriors, and frost death knights. Fury warriors will find it quite appealing too due to its critical strike bonus. It can also be used by either hand as it's not a main-hand weapon.

Warriors and paladins can actually gather a good weapon set by defeating the final boss only as she also drops a decent shield to pair with the axe.

What else does Ansurek drop?

Naturally, not all the loot that the Spider Queen drops has been mentioned above. But it doesn't mean that the rest of her wealth holds no value – not at all! Here's the full loot table of items you can get by defeating the last boss of the Nerub'ar Palace:
