Best Gear for Magicka Sorecerer Build for ESO in Firesong DLC? Here it is!

Your Elder Scrolls Online champion must be strong. That's why it's essential to collect the right items for the right build – there's no better source of your strength than this. We decided to take a look at several powerful options for sorcerer players. If you want to go all in with magicka, here's a list of armor builds that can do right that for you. Depending on how much you're invested in the game, you can go with the least effort one, a medium option, or a full-hardcore set.

It's important to note that these options should be used with the right allocation of champion points and skills. Otherwise, these items alone won't give you the desired effect – you need to use the advantage they give you wisely too. We'll get back to that at the end of this post – you'll find a couple of useful links down below. But first things first – let's see what gear you should consider for your magicka sorcerer in the Firesong DLC.

Starter Magicka gear build

Who said that great gear can only be acquired by the strongest players? There are always options for more casual players, so don't worry about that if you're one of them! So this option includes items from 3 different sets: 2 of them are fully craftable and 1 is PvP-related so you'll need to spend some time in the Imperial City to get the required items from it.

The craftable sets are Law of Julianos and Magnus' Gift. The particular items from them that you're going to need are given below.

Law of Julianos items (x5)
  • Chest (trait: Divine, enchantment: Magicka)
  • Belt (trait: Divine, enchantment: Magicka)
  • Shoes (trait: Divine, enchantment: Magicka)
  • Weapon 1 (type: Fire, trait: Precise, enchantment: Fire Enchant)
  • Weapon 2 (type: Fire, trait: Infused, enchantment: Weapon Damage Enchant)
Get these 5 items faster

Law of Julianos is a popular set for various different builds. We help players collect these craftable items fast for 160 CP PvE gear sets. It would be a great solution for you, if you're looking to get those items and an extra set for your character to have an upper hand during the Mystic armor collection. Magnus' Gift items (x4)
  • Head (trait: Divine, enchantment: Magicka)
  • Shoulder (trait: Divine, enchantment: Magicka)
  • Pants (trait: Divine, enchantment: Magicka)
  • Shoes (trait: Divine, enchantment: Magicka)
Now the Imperial City PvP items. The ones that you're going to need are included in the Willpower set. They all are jewelry. Here's the list:

Willpower (x3)
  • Necklace (trait: Arcane, enchantment: Spell Damage)
  • Ring 1 (trait: Healthy, enchantment: Spell Damage)
  • Ring 2 (trait: Arcane, enchantment: Magicka Recovery)
So much for the starter option for the Mystic build. Now let's take a look at what stronger gear you can collect to make the most of this build.

Medium Magicka gear build

This option is a little tricker to collect than the previous one. Although it still includes 5 items from the craftable Law of Julianos set, it changes the rest of items for others coming from different sources. Mother's Sorrow is an overland set that takes quite some time to collect, while Maw of the Infernal is a monster set that will require you to descend to the Banished Cells II dungeon and test your luck with the shoulders. Let's take a closer look at the items.

Law of Julianos items (x5)
  • Chest (trait: Divine, enchantment: Magicka)
  • Belt (trait: Divine, enchantment: Magicka)
  • Shoes (trait: Divine, enchantment: Magicka)
  • Weapon 1 (type: Fire, trait: Precise, enchantment: Fire Enchant)
  • Weapon 2 (type: Fire, trait: Infused, enchantment: Weapon Damage Enchant)
Mother's Sorrow (x5)
This armor is a part of the overland set gathered in Deshaan. To unlock it you gotta do quests and take part in numerous zone-specific activities.

  • Hands (trait: Divine, enchantment: Magicka)
  • Pants (trait: Divine, enchantment: Magicka)
  • Necklace (trait: Bloodthirsty, enchantment: Spell Damage)
  • Ring 1 (trait: Bloodthirsty, enchantment: Spell Damage)
  • Ring 2 (trait: Bloodthirsty, enchantment: Spell Damage)
Maw of the Infernal (x2)
Just like any other monster set, this one consists of 2 items. You can the head item in the dungeon (Banished Cells II) and the shoulders come randomly from crates sold by the Undaunted vendors in special enclaves. Those shoulders are quite difficult to get due to how random the drop is, so it might end up being the hardest piece of this set to obtain.

  • Head (trait: Divine, enchantment: Magicka)
  • Shoulder (trait: Divine, enchantment: Magicka)
The medium set for Mystery sorcerer is definitely more time-consuming than the low-effort one. Well, that's why it's not a low-effort one too – it makes sense, doesn't it? Anyway, let's carry on to the best-in-slot options for this set.

High-end Magicka gear build

This set is not called BIS for nothing. It will be a real challenge to collect. And if you think you've had enough fun with the monster set from the previous option, think again, as this armor build includes another monster set along with a trial set's pieces.

Perfected Whorl of Depths (x5)
This set comes from the veteran Deadsail Reef trial. You might have already guessed what kind of challenge it's going to be! You're going to need as many as 5 items from it to activate this set's best bonus effect:

  • Chest (trait: Divine, enchantment: Magicka)
  • Belt (trait: Divine, enchantment: Magicka)
  • Shoes (trait: Divine, enchantment: Magicka)
  • Hands (trait: Divine, enchantment: Magicka)
  • Weapon 1 (type: Fire, trait: Precise, enchantment: Fire Enchant)
Collect this perfected set faster

Getting items from veteran trials isn't easy. And it's not supposed to be – after all. trials are the pinnacle challenge of the game. So if you think you're going to need some help, we'll be happy to lend you a hand. Our team will help you obtain all these 5 items in Dreadsail Reef in no time! Pillar of Nirn (x4)
This set can be obtained in the Falkreath Hold dungeon. It's not exactly too challenging but gathering all these items will take some time due to the chaotic drop chance. For this build you should focus on jewelry and a weapon.

  • Neckalce (trait: Bloodthirsty, enchantment: Spell Damage)
  • Ring 1 (trait: Bloodthirsty, enchantment: Spell Damage)
  • Ring 2 (trait: Bloodthirsty, enchantment: Spell Damage)
  • Weapon 2 (type: Fire, trait: Infused, enchantment: Weapon Damage Enchant)
Kjalnar's Nightmare (x2)
Another monster set for you to take care of. This time you can get the head piece in the Unhallowed Grave dungeon. And the shoulder piece... Well, the same very random containers, unfortunately.

  • Head (trait: Divine, enchantment: Magicka)
  • Shoulder (trait: Divine, enchantment: Magicka)
Harpooner's Wading Kilt (x1)
Finally, you gotta get this Mythic item. It's obtainable in the Blackwood zone so get teady to participate in numerous various activities there. Also, note that this is a medium-weight item which is quite unusual for a mostly lightweight set.

  • Pants (trait: Divine, enchantment: Magicka)
That's it! If you've successfully gathered all those items, you can't get better than this with your Mystic sorcerer's armor build!
