What is the RAF boost in WoW?

Recruit-a-Friend boost in World of Warcraft is a great opportunity to get all the great spoils of this system much sooner than on average. The original idea of this RAF system is to make you invite friends who will play with you for some time and in several months you will receive all the rewards. Only if your friends keep paying their monthly subscription, that is. And the trick is that you get one reward each month for each friend. You will have to wait for 2 months to get 2 rewards, for 3 months to get 3, and so on. However, if you invite several friends at once, you can get more than 1 reward per month if they all will pay their subscription. The limit for friends that you can invite, however, is 4 and there are usually more World of Warcraft RAF rewards than that.

What is the Recruit-a-Friend system?

RAF in World of Warcraft is a system that encourages you to invite as many friends to the game as possible. Every invited friend unlocks some special reward for you that can only be obtained this way. It’s important to note that to unlock those rewards your friend has to actually buy the subscription time – otherwise it won’t count. The World of Warcraft RAF rewards do not enhance your character’s combat capabilities so it’s not P2W in any way. What they are, however, are a bunch of unusual cosmetic items that would become a perfect addition to any collector’s wardrobe and garage (yeah, RAF mount in WoW is a usual thing).

What rewards should I expect?

Rewards keep changing about every year. They used to be pretty plain – you could get a World of Warcraft Recruit a Friend mount for inviting a friend and playing with them for some time. Obviously, the player you’ve invited had to buy gametime. The mounts were numerous: Swift Zhevra, X-53 Touring Rocket (with 2 seats), Heart of the Nightwing, and so on.
