Paragon boost in Diablo 4

WHAT IS PARAGON IN DIABLO 4?

To be completely honest, there's no such thing as just "paragon" in Diablo 4. There's the "paragon board". The idea remains practically the same though: it's a high-end progression system for characters who have already reached the maximum level (which is 50 at the release). That means that your journey doesn't end with your primary levels – far from that. Whenever your champion has climbed up to 50, you still have a lot of places to go and progress to make, including studying and filling out the paragon board. We'll tell you more about how it works below.

IS IT DIFFERENT FROM THAT OF DIABLO 3?

Both yes and no. The thing is, this paragon system first appeared in Blizzard games in exactly Diablo 3. So we can say that it was the original implementation of the concept. And it was pretty straightforward: so you've reached the max level and here's another bunch of levels for you to raise. At first, the amount of them was limited but then the idea evolved to become endless and you could level up those paragon levels as long as you wanted. There wasn't a hard ceiling for that, so to speak. Diablo 4 will employ the very same concept of course.

The difference lies in visuals and details. Unlike Diablo 3, you have a sort of a board for your paragon bonuses in Diablo 4. You can arrange unique patterns and add other boards in any way you like. It looks like we get way more flexibility in the fourth part of the series. Also, we didn't have any board interface for paragon in the previous game. Hence it all looks fresh and exciting which is always a great thing.

HOW DOES IT WORK EXACTLY?

Let's imagine you've just hit level 50 with your, well, barbarian. But the road goes on and you follow it: you keep slaying demons, completing quests and dungeons, and whatnot. You keep getting experience although there's no level 51 for you to achieve. That experience is sorta paragon experience that's taking you closer to your first paragon level up. When it happens, you get 4 paragon points that you can use on the already mentioned board. There you have all sorts of bonuses to choose from. You start in the very center of that board and you can "move" in any direction by choosing any power-ups that it offers you.

The board has edges. And obviously, you can't just fall over them. Each edge has the so-called gate tile which does 2 things: first, it gives you a decent upgrade for one of your main stats: +5 to Strength, Willpower, Intelligence, or Dexterity. Secondly, you will be able to add a second board to your paragon. That might be not a second, but a third and a fourth one – depends on your progress and how many hours you've already spent on this beautiful game of demon-slaying. The board you add will have the same huge amount of bonuses to pick from and you will also start from the center of it and it will work by the very same rules. So this paragon fun will never end, hooray!

HOW DO I MAKE THE MOST OF IT FAST?

You can learn to do anything better than others. Leveling up paragon is no exception. If you know well enough what activities get you the most relevant experience, you will nail it 100%! And our pros are exactly like that: months and years of experimentation with the game's source of XP led them to a very lucid understanding of what a player should do and in what order exactly to get their paragon levels faster than normal. If you want to get as many of those levels as possible within a short timeframe, here's your perfect chance to get exactly that!

Your character can become a real monster with all these numerous bonuses although they don't seem like much. But that's the wrong expression: one by one they don't impress many players, that's true. But the idea is to accumulate so many of them that it will make any opponent shudder. The best part about paragon is that you can use all that might on ANY of your champions. Yes, that's right, even on that newly created alt that you started yesterday. The might is immense and its potential is even bigger. So don't think twice – you absolutely need this paragon power!
