So as you can see the pattern more or less holds. It's 15 exclusive named enemies, 2 non-campaign quest lines, 7 peculiar items to find and pick up, and so on. That means that more or less all regions give you the same challenge although the contents of that challenge will differ. Bosses and unique monsters are not equal in their power across the zones. The same is true about vistas that might be harder to reach in some zones than others. Some adventure tomes are certainly harder to complete.

But we're talking about "how", not about "why". Why should you care about these tomes? There are 2 reasons:

  1. it's just fun and enjoyable to see how much progress you've made in a particular zone and it brings lots of joy to people who're fond of collecting things
  2. you get in-game items for progressing with adventure tomes

So the former is mostly subjective but the latter is real deal. Let's look at an example in the shape of the Rethramis adventure tome:
