Leveling up guilds in ESO isn't always an easy thing to do. Many of them will only give you access to the great things they have after you've gone through several challenges, most of which are ridiculously time-consuming. But it's often worth it, as most guilds reward you with powerful skills unique to their separate skill lines.
The Psijics are not an exception and in this Psijic Order leveling guide we'll discuss what they are, what rewards they have, and how to level up your relationship with them.
What is the Psijic Order?
The Psijic Order is one of the NPC guilds in Elder Scrolls Online. They are not a part of the base game and you're going to need either the Summerset DLC or the ESO Plus subscription to get access to them. But do you really need it?
It depends. We'd say that almost every player will benefit from reaching level 10 with them. The Psijic Order skill line you get access to is just incredible and lots of powerful builds currently use abilities from it. And it's not just about PvE: PvP players adore Psijic skills and use them all the time due to how useful they are in battles against other players.
Here are the Psijic skill line's abilities in more detail:

That said, some classes' optimal builds don't rely on Psijic skills so you might not find leveling this guild's level a priority. The process is quite time-consuming and involves lots of running around, so it's definitely not the smartest idea to work on the Psijic Order progress for each of your alts. Well, not on your own at least.
What does Psijic leveling look like?
As we've already said, it's lots of running around – and we mean it. It all starts in the Summerset and the Psijic Order members send you on errands all around Tamriel from there. Most of those errands focus on closing the so-called Time Breaches which are just portals that somehow create time anomalies. It's not really difficult, just takes some planning and smart logistics. But you have to do it a lot and almost all base game zones have to be visited in the process.
It's not just breaches though: you'll also need to locate various parts of the powerful Staff of Towers and unearth them. Technically such missions don't differ much from those with portals but they have one extra step: you must arrive at one place and then travel to another in the close vicinity of it being guided by hints from a powerful Psijic. Long story short, such quests take a bit longer than the portal ones.
And it all has to end in an epic fashion, doesn't it? Of course it does so you'll have a showdown with one of the Psijic members' several selves from different timelines. It's a bit confusing but if you follow the story, it'll all make sense to you.

How do you start leveling up the Psijics?
It all starts in Summerset. Locate an NPC called Calibar near the wayshrine outside Alinor. It's the guy who gives you the Queen's Decree quest. Do some quests and eventually he'll send you to a Psijic Order mage. Do some of her quests too and eventually she'll invite you to visit the Psijic Order island Arteum.
Having arrived in Arteum, go to the main Tower and in its first large hall you'll find the loremaster Celarus. Remember him as he's going to be one of the main quest sources throughout the quest line. And of course it will be him who'll give you the first mission.
Levels 1-3: Closing time breaches
Summerset
The first 3 levels of the Psijic Order will be earned through closing time breaches. First you'll be sent to do that in Summerset which is, luckily, where you already are. 9 time breaches are waiting to be closed there which is actually abnormally a lot for just 1 zone as you'll later learn. But it's nothing difficult anyway – just do it and come back to Celarus. Here's where to find all the Summerset breaches (by Goldfingercc):
Iliac Bay
Next you'll be sent to the Iliac Bay's 3 adjacent zones: Glenumbra, Stormhaven, and Alik'r Desert. Each of them has 3 breaches, so it's 9 in total at this stage. See where to find them here:
Skyrim & Stonefalls
As you've turned in the Iliac Bay quest, you'll be sent on yet another trip to close breaches: this time you'll be sent to Skyrim and Morrowind's zones: Eastmarch, The Rift, and Stonefalls. Each of them also has 3 portals:
Level 4: Gathering staff fragments
Now something different for a change. You'll be tasked to collect 4 fragments of the powerful Staff of Towers. Each fragment has a related quest and they lead to different zones, namely:
- Bangkorai (Pelin Graveyard)
- Alik'r Desert (Leki's Blade)
- Shadowfen (Hist)
- Deshaan (Fang Spires)
The first 2 are parts of the Iliac Bay and you've even visited one of them (the desert) previously in this quest line. The Iliac Bay lies in the West-North of Tamriel. And you might guess that the other two (Shadowfen and Deshaan) are in the opposite part of the continent: the Middle East of it.
You can see all the locations in yet another video by Goldingercc:

Levels 5-6: Closing more time breaches
Valenwood
Have you enjoyed your break from closing time breaches? Good, now we'll do even more of them. The first journey will be to the South-Western peninsula of Valenwood. You'll visit its 3 subzones: Grahtwood, Greenshade, and Malabal Tor. In each of them you'll find 3 more portals to close:
Black Marsh
Then another trip to the swamps: Shadowfen and Deshaan (collectively known as the Black Marsh) will both have 4 portals for you to find and shut down for good. As you're through with those 2 regions, you'll get another break from portal hunting. But first see where to find the breaches:
Level 7: Gathering... tears?
While all that excessive traveling could really make you tear up from exhaustion, the tears you'll have to collect in this step are not your own. "Tear" is the name of a special part of the same good old Staff of Towers. There are 4 of them and this time they are scattered all across Tamriel:
- Stormhaven (Weeping Giant)
- Craglorn (Spellscar)
- Greenshade (Labyrinth)
- Stonefalls (Brothers)
These quests work the same as those from the level 4 task: you arrive in some place, start hearing voices, and they lead you to a site where you need to unearth a so-called tear. Here's where to find them all:
Levels 8-9: Closing even more time breaches
Rivenspire
Been missing closing time breaches? No problem, here are 2 more regions of Tamriel for you to make a voyage to. The former of them is Rivenspire that has as many as 9 breaches. It's one of the Northernmost zones of Tamriel – to be more precise, it's located in the North-West coast. Here are the portal locations:
Craglorn
Finally, you'll need to explore Craglorn to close 6 breaches there. That will be your last trip of this kind and you'll approach the final challenge upon finishing this one. Here's where to find Craglorn's time rifts:

Levels 10: Defeat the boss
It all ends with the quest The Towers' Fall. You'll need to go to Alik'r Desert (Iliac Bay once again), to Divad's Chagrin Mine inside it, enter a portal leading to the White Gold Tower, and fight Josajeh's several alternative selves. She's a member of the Order who, apparently, tried to pull some dangerous magic trick and something went expectedly wrong.
The fight isn't hard at all, the boss dies quite fast. As you've defeated her, turn in the quest, and receive level 10 with the Psijic Order guild as the reward you've been working on up until this moment. Congratulations!
If you had any issues with finding the boss' location, here's a detailed video that will help you with that (by Goldfingercc once again):
