"Bot lobbies" has become something of a buzz-word in the COD community recently. Actually it's been a thing for nearly as long as the series has existed. But the growth of the community and the number of content creators in it, makes some things that used to be known and practiced among the elite core of the COD fan base only, more accessible to everyone. And lucky we, we now also know all there's to know about bot lobbies and how to arrange them and feel the benefits!
Want to join the club of bot lobbies enjoyers? Welcome! This blog post has all you need to know about them!
What are bot lobbies?
Bot lobbies, also known as easy lobbies, are COD BO6 matches where you meet little to no resistance from your opponents. Despite the name, it doesn't necessarily imply that you play against NPCs or something like that. No, what people mean by calling such lobbies "bot" is that the players there are as bad as bots at the lowest difficulty or worse. Some of them just stand there doing nothing or behave in a very strange way which lets you to hunt them down with much less effort.
Some people also use the phrase to refer to lobbies with actual bots: some people use private matches without other real players to test their skills or experiment with their tactics. That's a good thing but it's different from what we're about to discuss below. So don't mix them up!
Bot lobbies are great because they let you get higher rating, better stats, faster progress towards various rewards (camos, challenges, etc) – all that without investing lots of time and effort into the game. That's why even the highest-skilled players seek to get as many of such lobbies as possible and try tricking the matchmaking system whenever they can. If you can rise to the top without sweat, isn't it good? The real challenge, some might say, isn't about climbing – it's about staying there. And we'd agree with that.
How to get bot lobbies?
There are several ways to do: we've gathered as many as 6 right here below. Don't expect them to be all equally effective and easy to do – yet it's worth knowing about them all to see which fits you best. Read on to learn more!
How about just buying lobbies?
Yes, it's also a thing! If you want the fastest way to get bot lobbies, here it is! Just order a lobby and you'll get it arranged by pros for you – quick, fast, reliable, and affordable! Check out our COD BO6 bot lobbies1
1. Team-up with low-KD players
The term "low-KD player" surely might sound offensive. However, you should't treat it as a synonym to "a player that sucks". With that mindset you won't enjoy the benefits of bot lobbies – so let's get it out of the way right away!
Basically you need a team of players some of which are low-KD. That means their gaming history isn't above average – it's below it. They die a lot, they aren't very helpful, and so on. It doesn't mean that their real skill should be low. It might be someone's second account that their little sibling has played at or something like that. Of course, nothing prevents you from getting real newbies on the team, so if you know someone of that sort, bring them on.
Make the player with the lowest KD the host of a lobby. Thus you'll attract weaker players with a higher probability. Whatever you do during the games, don't let all of your teammates get very good stats within the last 5 matches. At least some players must have 3+ bad games among the 5 latest ones for the system to keep treating them as weaklings. it doesn't mean that particular players should always play badly – you can alter, no problem with that. Just maintain the balance for it all to work as expected.
2. Have 2 accounts
The famous 2-account method is also known as 2-boxing. The idea is that you have one regular account that you play as you would otherwise. The other is a bot account: you have it in your party but it has a poor gaming history, low stats, and abysmal performance if any (you can just let it stand in one place). So your bot account will make the SBMM think that you have a lame teammate with you. It's supposed to make it pity you two and give you weaker opponents.
It actually works, despite how cheesy it sounds. The best practice is to deliberately tank your bot accounts' stats to the ground. Play 5 games or more with it in the multiplayer and do all the horrible things that you hate your teammates do. Shoot in all directions like crazy, move around like a bull in a china shop bumping into both enemies and allies, crouch in open spaces like a lunatic, and so on. Yes, some people will hate you for that. Yet that's what a cruel necessity is.
Use the weaker account as a host for looking for lobbies. Just like in the previous case with real players, it will affect the results positively for you.
The biggest con of this method is that you need a second account. If you play on PC, then yes, that's the only way to go: to purchase another one. If you have 2 PS or Xbox consoles, you can do the trick of having the same copy of the game on 2 different accounts. So at least that is less expensive for console players!

3. Use VPN
This one will require some research beforehand. You need to understand which other regions: a. exist, b. have fewer players than yours, c. have players of a lower skill than yours on average. It might you some time to figure out: forums and social media might be the key. The more unique data you collect, the higher chance of striking gold you get.
There are several options that are more or less well-known and they might be already overused by the moment you get to our blog: Chile, India, Southeast Asia. Regardless of which region you pick, try playing there only when it's late night or early morning there. That will raise your chances of getting a bunch of clueless opponents even more.
The obvious drawback of VPNs is that your latency can rise, hence you need to take that into consideration as well. Good VPNs aren't free too, so it's not the cheapest option. However, since you can use VPN not just for bot lobbies but for many other things as well, it might be a worthwhile investment.

4. Try simple little tricks
There are several simple little tricks that you can try. They don't guarantee getting a bot lobby but they surely raise your chances. One such trick has been already mentioned in the previous section: determine off-peak hours. You don't have to pair that up with using a VPN. Your local region also has off-peak hours. And that's an opportunity to grab!
The idea is that there are fewer players overall during such time periods. Fewer players overall = fewer players of your level. With a little bit of luck you're going to get more of players of a lower skill level. That said, players of a higher skill level are also a possibility, so yeah, this method isn't 100% reliable. Also, a miscalculation of what "off-peak" means for your region can lead to you playing regular matches without raising your chances to get a bot lobby.
What you can also do is NOT filter your playlist. Most newbies don't even know that they can do that. That's why they queue for all kinds of modes and get something they might not even want. Or anyone wants, for that matter. Experienced players do filter their playlist and end up playing the same modes over and over. So try not doing that and see if it gets you some newbies.

5. Just make a new account
Yes, basically create a smurf account. Come to the dark side! Join the universally hated group pf smurfs! If you value low difficulty and fast progress over random players' respect, that is.
The reality is that no one knows that you smurf if you exercise caution. Don't get too greedy and end games with ridiculous stats. Make it look natural and enjoy the benefits for as long as the SBMM system treats you as a newbie.
But it won't do that forever. So if you notice that the difficulty has gone above the level you prefer, use any of the other tricks mentioned here. You can even tank several games to convince the SBMM that you're still a beginner who just gets lucky sometimes.
Level up faster in bot lobbies!
Bot lobbies are a perfect environment for power leveling your account. You can get loads of experience fast without much resistance. Imagine if you could double that amount of XP! And you can – view our COD BO6 Double XP boost! Affordable tokens for everyone!
6. Purchase bot lobbies
All those 5 methods above have varying levels of success rate. Some are more likely to get you bot lobbies, some are less. But what's certain is that they all require you to actually do something, to put in some effort without being sure that you'll what you need. And while that's not uncommon for any activities in games or life, there's another approach that you're definitely going to like.
You can just hire a team to get you bot lobbies. Yes, that's it. No need to do anything yourself – it'll be arranged for you. Yes, you'll have to pay for that but the price is really affordable which makes it not the most expensive option on this list (buying a VPN or another account would likely cost you more).
What you get is a stress-free and risk-minimized bot lobby – any number of such lobbies actually. You can shoot any player without getting any fire back. You can raise your stats as you wish. It's perfect for progressing with your weapons (getting closer to those precious camo), completing challenges or dailies, improving stats, or whatever else you need. It's absolutely up to you.
